There really are very few countries on the planet that rival Italy for its beauty and romance which is why an artistic assignation in Venice or cultural interlude in Florence are just what’s required to stoke the flames of passion, no matter what the occasion.
two trips, twice the beauty

Northern Italy
Summer 2011, hadn't planned anything for my 2 weeks vacation, I decided to take my car and drive to Italy. I stopped where I felt like and you'll find here the moments and colours captured during this trip.
I crossed the Mount-Blanc tunnel and drove to Lake garda, spent a night there to relax and then went to Venezia.  Since I was on my own it was easier to max out the time at sunrise and sunset in order to capture the nice lights. Then I drove to Verona and on my way back I decided to stop in Milano which I had never visited. I took advantage of an offer from a hotel very near to Il Duomo (which is now called the square Milano Duomo) and went again early morning to capture the nice lights. Finally, I took my car and went back home. At the time, I was still shooting with a Canon 7D.

Cinque Terre
In 2014, we went back to Italy and decided to visit Cinque Terre and Tuscany.
On our way to Tuscany, we decided to stop in Cinque Terre and visit and couple of nice places. These five villages are very typical and so majestic, hanging on the cliffs. The Sentiero Azzurro cliffside hiking trail links the villages and offers incredible sea views.
Tuscany
It had been a while since my last visit in Tuscany. I was about 15 years old the first time.
What I really wanted to see was San Quirico d’Orcia becuase of my souvenirs of the Movie Galdiator, which was filmed in this region. So I book then same hotel than Riddley Scott 🙂 Yes, it’s called Agritourismo Il Rigo if I remember well. In order to get there we had to cross Tuscany and we took some time to visit Lucca, Siena, Firenze naturally, San Gimigniano and other nice places where you can eat, drink and enjoy life peacefully.
